Dirty Red Pagan is a band.

Here we have the delicious talents of Marko Marisic on the guitar, Oyku (Queenie) Bilgili on keyboards (two of them!) and that delightful pixie of percussion, Ken Ray Wilemon. And…me.

Tonight at Motorco in Durham! Opening for Dopapod. It’s a palindrome. The first “o” is long. Thank god for that.

New single “She Is The Reason”.

“She Is The Reason” is available to you through CDBaby for a mere $.99. It’s a nice ballad about that certain object of desire and longing that we all meet in our lives, usually unfulfilled or incomplete.

The new CD, “Dirty Red Pagan” will be coming soon.

Thank you.

More CD News

So I think I’m going to stick with “Dirty Red Pagan” as the CD’s title, but nothing is set in stone until it’s set in type. One thing I do know is that I’m meeting a nice fellow to talk about video shoots for two of the songs. Starting as well to put the art work together. If you know any CD manufacturing place that does short run CD duplication with booklets, please contact me. “Thank you” to all the folks who supported this endeavor through Kickstarter.com or just because they’re friends and wanted to help me out. I’m being shopped to various TV and movie productions as well as searching for the elusive publishing thingie. Stay tuned!

Very exciting!

All the recording on my end is finished, and the product is now in the hands of the one, the only, Darrell Nutt, another Buffalo expat living in Florida, just like powerhouse drummer Steve Camilleri. I have had the good fortune to work with Marko Marisic on hard guitar parts, Pamela Henderson on backing vocals, Ken Denny helped me to record some acoustic parts and vocals, the wonderful Matt Douglas on saxamaphone…

The title of the CD has changed as well. More on that later, but I got the inspiration from a certain hero of mine from a little band called XTC, big in the day. Still #1 with me. The upshot is that this will be wonderful!

NC peeps: Say NO to Amendment One May 8. Remember: Any love is good love. Why do people hate love?

“Take Me Home” and “That’s The Thing”

Melissa Pascoe (who I wish still lived near me) and I co-wrote these songs for the MOMS Animal Rescue and I am very proud of them.  I play acoustic guitar and sing backing vocals on this one.

The intro to this one is actually a mistake they kept in. The first three guitar figures were just me trying to master the lick. Still, good stuff. Moving. I think Melissa really nailed it. She made the process so easy.
